I'm having an issue with sheriff2 and police2 with the nypd old pack that has been released (im waiting for officer walters' pack but in the meantime I'm playing with this one). The lights ain't working, they are flashing black squares like in the pic. Do I have to change smtg in carvariations or is it carcols?

Might be the tint? Try changing through the window tints with simple trainer
I've had this problem with a Code 3 Defender bar going black because of weird tint settings, otherwise I think it's a line in the vehicles.meta iirc, but I could be wrong.

Could be something else causing the same thing though but idk, give it a shot.

thing is the lights have the form of squares when flashing, that's the main problem. usually it's carvariations.meta, but these are ELS vehicles and Idk if els vehicles use carvariations. If not, it must be either carcols or vehicles.meta

ELS vehicles do use and still require carvariations.  Make sure the carvariations for the vehicle are

 

lightsetting=1

sirensetting=13

Yes, since the game's carvariations are hard coded in, you will need to add new ones to a dlc, and the game will read those.

 

As per vehicle flag, yep, but it needs to be "FLAG_HAS_LIVERY".  Do note, some models don't support multiple liveries.  Anything by PoliceSCO does not support multi liveries.
