The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

New to GTA 5, LSPD First Response.dll has crashed/doesn't exist

Recommended Posts

I bought GTA 5 on the summer sale just for LSPDFR mod. I have zero experience with any GTA modding.

With that being said here's what is happening:

I can launch the game and LSPDFR will boot successfully.

I can pick an officer and a car I can drive around.

The moment I hit shift on a car and hit the E key (apparently thats my sirens and lights key) LSPD First Response.dll has crashed

Following the FAQ: LoadPlugin “LSPD First Response.dll” gives the response ( “LSPD First Response”.dll" does not exist. ) OR  (“LSPD First Response.dll”.dll" does not exist.)

Log file has errors related to callouts.

Basic facts:

GTA 5 install is vanilla, no other mods or plugins have been added besides Ragehook and LSPDFR.

I installed the mod via the executable installer.

I downloaded and placed the latest RAGEHOOK.

After having the issue I moved the lspdfr folder into the plugins folder (per instructions from this forum while google searching)

lspdfr folder came back and created another lspdfr.ini

LSPD First response folder is empty as it shouldn't be there per google searches and forums (all contents should have been in the plugins)

I more than likely BOTCHED THE INSTALL, but I do not know the exact location files are supposed to be

Latest log file:  https://pastebin.com/TCC3izDm

I can only bug fix in game for 1 hour and 2 minutes. If I can't fix it within that window of gameplay time then I'll have to refund the game through steam. I have zero interest in GTA, I picked it up solely for the mod. Thanks in advance and sorry if this is something basic and noobish

Judging by the crash log, a lot is messed up.  I advise removing all traces of mods and reinstalling manully.  Automatic installs are convenient, but unreliable.

Here's a tutorial for installing Rage and LSPDFR.

Will give it a shot. Any easy way to uninstall it without ripping out key GTA 5 files?

Open the download for both LSPDFR and Rage, and look at the files that come in the download and just delete the matching ones.  LSPDFR also comes with an uninstaller which is located either in your main directory or the lspdfr folder.  However, I have never used this, and have no clue how good it is.

Thanks a bunch for the video and the help. It's working like a charm now. Should have known just to use the manual install since it's kinda foolproof. Thanks again!

One last question for you. Is there a dedicated page with all of the LSPDFR keybindings?
