HOW TO: Make EUP 7.5 & RDE 3.0 work together

Featured Replies

I can say this is the way to make EUP and RDE work seamlessly.

Install:

- update.rpf/x64/eup put the files belonging to this folder

- update/x64/dlcpacks/mpimportexport/dlc.rpf overwrite the 2 .xml files (but back up the original files to avoid any issue)

PS: If after having done that, your game crashes, download this: https://www.mediafire.com/?jw7jw6jb7iu1vw8. It's the gameconfig.xml file, and goes to Mods/update/update.rpf/common/data.

At least I tried to do so, and it worked perfectly.

For me, EUP still gives the "Law & Order isn't installed error", using the latest versions of both RDE and EUP, clean installs. Bumping this hoping for someone who knows something to further this with maybe an answer.

Did you install World of Variety while installing RDE?

Yeah, I did. I also tried reinstalling both in either order, once only adding on WoV without the others. I'll give it a few more tries with different configurations, but so far, no luck. You might have performed a magic trick, my friend.

@JojoMikel @DellHonne I don't know what you have in your game. At least I tried this way and it worked for me.

I think you should talk to EUP Team members in the support page. You can send them the .log files and they could tell you what's wrong.

Hope to be useful to you.

@badass22 I got it to work just fine. What I did is this: Made my mod folder a clean slate, I installed RDE as normal, including WoV. I then installed EUP's Law & Order and Serve & Rescue packs, overwriting the context.xml and setup2.xml files in the importexport dlcpack with those found in Serve & Rescue. I then installed this gameconfig mod, [ https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-5-gameconfig-300-cars ] personally using the x1 configuration (I assume all configurations work) and it opened flawlessly utilising both mods. So what you did worked, with the exception of obtaining that updated gameconfig. Hope this helps anyone looking for a solution to this problem until the next RDE and/or EUP update.

So you used the 1x, 1x.
The regular base?

I did, but I doubt that makes much of a difference unless your PC can't handle increased amounts of entities on screen.

Curious, would I be able to use the auto installers or just install manually?
I used to have 7.4 and the older versions so I can easily auto install.

I only seem to crash when I have RDE added in.

Also, would I overwrite the xml files with the files from Law and Order, or Serve and Rescue?

What I did was install RDE through the auto installer on openiv, because it's easier and, as far I know, doesn't mess up as far as RDE is concerned. I then installed both of the most recent versions of the EUP packs manually, as badass originally posted, in the order of L&O and then S&R. I then installed the gameconfig, and the game launched without any errors. Crashing is likely due to an outdated gameconfig, or a gameconfig that doesn't support the large amount of addon vehicles that RDE brings on.

Well, after following all that to a T and then using the new gameconfig, I am playing and things are working great.
Thank you both for the effort and hard work @DellHonne and @badass22 .

Finally some solutions to the issues people are facing.

As to one of my other issues with the unhandled exception.

It was my files being set to readonly and then changing my security settings to Allow with trustedinstalled (which is RagePlugin)
