Trying to replace vehicle models, cannot locate mpluxe and patchday3ng

Featured Replies

I'm trying to download the LSMPD Vehicle Pack, and this is my first time trying to do so. Here is the Installation steps:

INSTALLATION:
1. Make backups!
2. Drag all files included in the "models" folder into: gtav/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/(LATEST PATCHDAY)/dlc.rpf/x64>levels/gtav/vehicles.rpf, using OpenIV in edit mode.
3. Drag the vehicles.meta included in the "data" folder into: gtav/mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/levels/gtav, using OpenIV in edit mode.
4. Drag the carcols.ymt included in the "data" folder into gtav/mods/update/update.rpf/x64/data, using OpenIV in edit mode.
5. Drag the carvariations.meta included in the "data" folder into gtav/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/mpluxe/dlc.rpf/common/data, using OpenIV in edit mode.
6. Drag all VCF files in the "ELS" folder into Grand Theft Auto V/ELS/pack_default.

I downloaded the WinWar and it's telling me to go to my 'patchday3ng' and replace models. Since I don't have patchday3ng, I did 'patchday2ng'

Then I did everything else it said until I got to step no. 5 where I couldn't locate mpluxe.

I got pretty frustrated since I couldn't locate it, so I put the carvariations.meta in every dlc pack I had just to be safe. (this part may sound pretty dumb ik)

Here is the list of my dlcpacks in my folder:

I put carvariations.meta in:

mpapartment

mpbiker

mpheist

mplowrider

Now in-game, only two of the vehicles show, and the flashing lights are under the vehicle.

someone help pls.

Hi there.

Assuming you used a mods folder the entire time for this, what you need to do is go into the vanilla files in OpenIV.

Update / x64 /  dlcpacks / mpluxe2.  Once you click into this, you should get a warning that says this is not the mods folder, and it'll have an option to copy over this path to the mods folder.  Do that.

The file is completely empty.

Open your GTA V directory (not in OpenIV).   Go to the same path I listed above.   Is there nothing there?

Nope.

I have to admit, I'm legitimately surprised that you're able to go in game and play.  Somewhere along the way your game got really messed up.   You should have several patchdays and dlc folders in there.  At this point, my advice is to do a full reinstall of GTA.

damn, how should i keep my mods and such?

You can pull your mods onto your desktop and save them there for now.  Have you done anything else to your game recently that may of caused this?  It's as if something deleted all of your files.
