Crash when attempting to go on duty

Featured Replies

Hi all, so I just installed all of the files requried to play LCPDFR. Once I finally got everything correct, I loaded in and as soon as I entered the police station and saw the menu to outfit my character, my game crashed. Here is the link for my data log:

Any help would be great, thank you!

Also, now when I click on the game file to try and relaunch, I get a message before the game ever loads that the game has crashed and I get an option to retry or boot in safe mode.

Also, just because I am trying to be as helpful as possible, GTA V will load and play normally without the plugin, if that matters.

Do you have a mods folder in your Main GTAV Folder? If so temporarily rename it to mods_old and launch game to see if the crash still occurs..

No mods folder appears in any file that I see....

Could this possibly be that my computer doesn't meet the required specs for this game? This morning I was able to make it back into the game, with the plugin, but when attempting to go on duty and selecting my character, it continues to crash and give the message the plugin has crashed.

You didn't modify any cars, weapons or peds? Also, post your system specs.

No mods, just installed everything like the website said, step by step, started with lspdfr, then the rage plugin, unzipped all and launched the game and experience my issues. I do believe it is my system specs that is causing this because I am trying to play on a laptop that doesn't have the best specs. After looking I do not even meet the minimum requirements, sorry for wasting everyones time :(

Ok so I purchased a brand new computer, very good specs, its an ibuypower i7 with 1080 graphics card and 16 gb of ram. It plays GTA V beautifully in 'normal' mode. I downloaded all of the files the exact same way that I did on my old computer to this new computer with fresh files for everything. When I click run the rage plugin it doesn't even make it past the verifying system without giving me an error message saying there was a problem and windows is attempting to solve....Any help?

Nevermind, all I had to do was download C++ and I am in the game and playing now! If only I could figure out the controls now haha. In time I am sure I will figure it all out.
