Question About File Types/Car Mods

Featured Replies

So I am rather new to LSPDFR, I just got an LSPD (ELS) pack and have successfully installed the pack and everything is working. However, I wanted to patrol BCSO and my Sheriff.yft file is a LSPD labeled charger. I was looking around the Vehicle Mod section and all of the sheriff vehicles are under police#.ytf.

Can anyone explain why that is so, and do I have the change the police#.ytf files with Sheriff labeled vehicles every time I want to patrol up north?

The .ytd is what you're looking for, it has all the graphics for the car.  (+hi.ytd as well, if the car has it.)  You could add the Sheriff livery as an extra.  (Example: CVPI_SIGN_2)  You may need to change the vehicle meta to allow the vehicle to have multiple liveries, but it should work.  Go into the .ytd for Sheriff, click "import", and select the new texture from your desktop.

To solve the problem of backup spawning with the wrong texture, go into your GTA V directory-->LSPDFR, open backup.xml.  From here, you can add livery="1" or  "2" depending on which livery is LSPD and which is sheriff.

Here is how it would look in the backup.xml.

<Vehicle livery="2">sheriff</Vehicle>
