Hello everyone, first time posting on here and I have been following watching quite a few LSPD vids on YouTube to the point that I am now hooked and want to do my own patrols. 

 

My first question is what does everyone use for game controls? Steering Wheel, Game Pad, Keyboard & Mouse.....All three?? Just asking because of the videos I have seen the player is seen driving around, responding to calls, which would make a steering wheel the most realistic and practical. But what about when the player is getting out of the car to arrest, taser, or just search an area....do you transition to Gamepad and/or keyboard & mouse??? I have a Logitech steering wheel, separate gear shift, pedal combo (G25 I think). Will my steering wheel work? If not, would you have any other suggestions??? 

 

Is this mainly "stand-alone" or can you play with other people and back other players up on calls?

 

How difficult is it to install all of the mods? Does anyone have a list of mods that you currently use?

 

Is there a FAQ or "newbie" starter's guide that you could point me to?

 

What suggestions would you have a for a new, first time player??

Hello! I'm glad to see that you've decided to start trying your own patrols out! I'll try to answer your questions as best as I can. To start off, I use my Xbox One controller, plugged in through USB. I like this since I've grew up playing on Xbox, and I don't really like change. In regards to your steering wheel question - yes, I do think it will work since you're using the base game of Grand Theft Auto V, which should (i hope) have steering support.

 

LSPDFR is a plugin for the single player Grand Theft Auto V. You cannot play with other players. You can call for backup, however these are NPCs. You have likely seen people RolePlaying on FiveReborn servers. Code Zero Patrol is (was) done on these. You can find many RolePlaying communities, however do take caution as FiveReborn had a security risk in the past, where the server could inject malicious code into your computer (I'm not sure if the risk is still around).

 

The mods are fairly easy to install, provided you read the readmes included in the files. I am using:*

For a new time player, I would recommend sticking to vanilla cars or using a pack with an OpenIV installer package. And I would also recommend using a mods folder, more information on that can be found here. Finally, I would recommend following Kanejr00's tutorials, the playlist can be found here.

Thank you for the replies....just to confirm I need to purchase the Grand Theft Auto V PC version correct? I held off on purchasing anything until I confirm what I would need.

So I purchased GTA V and it is currently installing. I went to the Rage Plugin Hook and the website is down....just my luck.
