I'm trying to install liveries i do everything right rename them put them in .ytd files but when i go to trainer i can't change it they just don't show up i am using (simple trainer) one more thing i want to stop vehicles showing up in sherrif skins in los santos so i delete the sherrif liveries from police, police2, police3 and only keep the LSPD skins but when i go into game liveries either don't change or the colors are all messed up pls guys help me out here. 

Vehicles i am using

Police> BXBugs's ELS CVPI

Police2>Policso's 2016 ELS charger

Police3> It's a SAHP 2014 charger (i forgot the authors name)

I haven't tried to change the skins of Sherrif vehicles.

I haven't tried to change the skins of Sherrif vehicles.

 

First, make sure when editing files in OpenIV you click "Edit mode" BEFORE clicking into the .YTD.  Also make sure the images have the same name (cvpi_sign_1 as an example), and make sure you're clicking the save button.

Thanks for the quick reply i found solution to 1 problem i individually replaced every sherrif skin of 2014 charger and CVPI with texture packs but i haven't found a solution to polisco's charger can you tell me how to get rid of his sherrif skins? because if i delete his rest of the 3 skins and keep only LSPD skin car appears totally white in game.

 

2014 charger is from GUMP btw.

2014 charger is from GUMP btw.

 

Just keep changing the name of the texture and replacing over the LSPD skin.   If the vehicle has a +hi.ytd, you also need to replace those files with the ones you want.

Yes just did that it worked but polisco's charger is a 2016 and i can't find any 2016 charger skins or maybe i missed them because although 2015's skins worked on it but it the numbers on the roof weren't aligned anyway thanks for quick responses just 1 last question i installed the captain 14's fbi pack and now i don't know how to delete it because i want to replace it with poliscos unmarked cars can you help me with that? it was an automatic installation.

I unfortunately can't help you there.  I never do auto installs for that very reason - I have no idea where it ends up, or what it changes.  I advise looking on the mod page and see if it says where it goes.  You can also check the readme and see if it says.  The readme should provide a how-to for manual install.

No problem i found it (it was in the update>x64>dlcpacks if in future anybody wants to find it) but thanks for the help man.
