Featured Replies

So ive just reinstalled my game and downloaded a ton of lspdfr mods and it loaded fine into the game but after that i wanted some better graphics so i decided to install Redux after i installed this my game refuses to boot up using any launcher (Rage/Normal) I installed it correctly and followed the instructions very clearly but when i launch it via Rage it just gets to "Waiting For Game Window" but it never shows up and i dont get any crash errors or reports. Heres my specs.

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

I hope you backed up your files, because I advise uninstalling it and putting back in the originals.

Did you use a mods folder when installing Redux?

I didn't mean delete your entire folder.  Since you used a mods folder, you have a back up of the original GTA files.  Back pedal the install.  If you installed a file somewhere, go grab the original file from the vanilla game and put it there.  Erase over the Redux files.

I would have but redux is an automatic install and it puts all its files inside of all of the x64a-w files aswell as common (Which i could delete that one) but i would still be required to delete x64e which has a ton of cars in it usually i was mainly wondering if there was a fix for this because it happened once before

This is exactly why I always advise to manually install. If there is ever an auto install, don't do it, because you have no clue where the files are going exactly.

The thing with graphics mods is that they are replacing and changing game files, so they can either work flawlessly or have issues.  Since it was an auto install and you can't really access the files, there's not too much we can do.  The graphics mod broke something when it installed.

Maybe someone else who downloaded this mod had the same issue and fixed it, I'm not sure.  Check the mod page for it. You can try contacting the author.

I wanted to manually do it but its a 3.3 gig download at (280kbs MAX) and its auto only and theres no manual

I would never install it then.  Auto installs always have a huge risk of something breaking.

Your only options are to wait for someone who may of experienced this, contact the mod author and ask, or try to back up some of your mods before redoing the mods folder.

Sorry, I know this isn't the answer you wanted.

Before you take my advice, look up some comments about this mod.  See what others are saying.  Maybe you'll come across a fix.

You're welcome, and good luck.

You can extract any .oiv and install it manually. However, Redux is stolen garbage, better off using something like MVGA or even VisualV.

I rotate between both. MVGA I think looks better overall, but has a bigger performance hit.

I tried VisualV, game looked exactly the same to me, and my settings are on high.  I'm confused by this as well.

That's odd, to me the game looks much sharper/crisper, but I also use the ENB. I'd say you'd be fine with either mod.
