Does detective in the US go and nab or apprehend suspect/perps personally after establishing the suspect identity?? Or do they request the patrol officer to arrest the suspect for them??? I feel that US police works differently from my local police (Singapore police) 

 

For my country, the IO aka investigation officer is they will personally go and arrest the suspects. 

 

And when SPF conduct a raid or operations, and they go in by unmarked van but sometimes they go in by marked police van. They do not wear any bulletproof vests. But they do carrying speed cuff and pistol. And SPF officer do not have the car computer ID check. They will just radio back to the division hq the ID/IC number to the hq when they conduct spot check on people
