GTA V Game Crash issue

Featured Replies

This week I decided to install LSPDFR after not playing it for a long time, however I've been having multiple issues mostly related to crashing GTA or RPH (unsure which). I clean installed my graphics drivers the night before using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) due to massive frame drops, after the clean install everything was working fine (running at a consistent 50+ frames without any crashes), however today when I switched my PC on again the frame drops immediately returned with a crash in about a minute of loading into the game.

I uninstalled the few mods/texture packs I had and still experience the same problems, as it seems the problem does not stem from any of those.

I also switched between various suggested gameconfigs.xml in other topics, but that might not be the cause as the game loads in fine and doesn't freeze at 'loading game world population'

I also ran the LSPDFR Troubleshooter by Albo1125 to ensure the plugins were properly installed. My graphics settings is on the lowest apart from some set by RadianceV.

Verify your game cache integrity in Steam

I'm on the Social Club standalone version. So I redownloaded the lastest version of social club, then followed steps to verify my game cache integrity, still no results.

No offense, but I would not be worrying about enabling infinite add-on cars with those specs.

Remove any custom vehicle models or add-ons and see if that helps. I'm surprised you can get it to load at all with RPH.

Yep I was surprised myself, it did run very smoothly before I started to install additional LSPDFR plugins. I deleted my mods folder to ensure I used no add-ons and move out my plugins before trying with just LSPDFR as base

Try reinstalling the game. With the past Biker DLC, on top of the Import/Export DLC, I noticed insane amounts of lag, even loading through Steam.

I tried everything, but it eventually hit a point where I could only play for 2-3 minutes before I crashed. Reinstalling sucked, but mine works perfectly now.

Good luck to you. When it comes to modding GTA5, I've found it is far more stressful and work-intensive than almost any other title!

Reinstalled the entire game, reinstalled both LSPDFR and RPH, reinstalled RDE. Got the same results in the intervals between installing those 3 parts - poor performance. Maybe I'm doomed to return to GTA Online
