Hi guys, I've been facing an issue with installing BxBugs non els lasd cvpi & a non els whelen liberty caprice into my game with multiple working els add on vehicles already installed. I get a crash in the loading screen each time which I managed to narrow down to my carvariations file: using the original file the game launches fine, the add on non els vehicles load but the lighting is all screwed up. When I replace the original with the files modified with the carvariations included with the cvpi & caprice I get a game crash. 

 

My only real questions are: 1. the obvious one, is it even possible to run els & non els add on vehicles simultaneously? 2. if it is possible, are there any special instructions associated with running both?

 

(I attached my edited carvariations if it is any help to look over what I'm talking about, it's worth noting I use RDE & the files being edited are policelsia & policelsia2)

I run a combination of  els and non els with siren mastery as well, its possible just sorta a pain.

Just to give an idea I am using the lspd police pack from captain14 and then just replacing some of the extra vehicles he adds in with the els ones I wanted and then putting the proper config with vehicle name in the els folder. I do not use rde though because when I attempted it literally destroyed my mod setup and its my own fault I assume, I have a lot of things tweaked and added so its Im not saying its impossible for me to get rde working but just not the time it would take. The lighting for vehicles is located in the vehicle meta file. As for carvariations that is where you can change the assigned siren and lighting settings. Dont know if this helped but you might not be editing the proper carvariations because there are many copies within gta, I dont know how rde works but Im assuming it has its own and rde's might conflict with the vehicles you are trying to add basically the lines you need to add are not showing up.

In your case are there any extra steps to adding a non els vehicle? Or will els only impact the vehicles that have configuration files in it's folder

Well the benefit of using captain14's pack is all the configs for his vehicle are in a seperate mod pack and I simply put the els vehicles over his non els vehicles and enabled them in ELS.

I refuse to remove Siren Mastery simply because the amount of non ELS cars vastly outnumbers ELS cars.  What I do is unlaod Siren Mastery if I use an ELS car, and load SM if I use a non ELS car.  No button conflicting, and it really makes no difference since AI doesn't utilize siren mastery.
