ELS lights no longer working, but ELS works?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Just now I went in game to test some ELS vehicles I added and found that ELS lights don't work anymore.  The sirens work, the ELS UI works, but nothing lights up.  I haven't changed any of ELS's files.   The only thing I did recently was install map editor and a few custom maps.  In fact, I installed a map a few days ago and tested it.  Game worked fine, ELS cars were fine.

What's even stranger is that non ELS vehicles work fine, lights work, all is well.  It's only ELS cars, even ones that previously worked.  When I flip the switch to turn on my lights, it makes the noises as if they are turning on, and even turns on the siren for stage 3.  I have no clue.  Tried restarting the game, nothing.

Edit: I went in to do some testing.  In the UI, it shows my lights as activated, but it doesn't show them as being on, flashing the patterns.  I can turn on my takedowns, and those work, but none of the other police lights work.

Someone else said their issue was scripthook, so I reinstalled mine, no go.  Reinstalled ELS, same result.

I am as pissed off as can be right now.  ELS lights are randomly  broke.  No reason, nothing has changed.

VCF files are for vehicle textures. If you go to your GTA directory, there should be an ELS folder. Look inside there and with the ELS model you installed it came with an ELS .xml file, you'll need to place that there in order for it to work.

My ELS folder has a sub folder for the XML files, which all of them [my vehicles] are in currently.

Re-install ELS. Worked for me when I had that issue. Replace all files. The problem might be that dependencies such as Advancedhook may have been replaced during the installation of other mods.

Tried this as well...twice.  Even went so far as to replace ScriptHookV and reinstall one of the ELS cars.  Nothing.

Send me car files. I'll test them for you and try troubleshoot it. As for now, I can't help you any further without testing them myself

This was a car that was working perfectly for me previously.   Here's the original file, and mine are below -

bxvic4.yft

bxvic4.ytd

bxvic4_hi.yft

bxvic4+hi.ytd

Double check your main directory. Make sure "advancedhookv.dll" is there.
