Creating your own DLC to replace cars

Featured Replies

Hello,

I just created my own "DLC" for my own where I can simply add all the carfiles and edit the important files (carvariations.meta, vehicles.meta). I tested it first with some add-on cars. Everything works fine.

My question is: Is it possible to make my own DLC "more important" than other patchdays? The problem is when I edit a car (for example police2) it will not take my modded files from my own DLC. It will take the files from the patchday/DLC where the car was edited before (by R*).

So is it somehow possible to make my DLC more important so that it will take the latest files from my DLC and not a patchday?

If you set you DLC up correctly (the content.xml and all that jazz) and make sure to put the name of your DLC in the dlclist file, it should override the older DLCs. I believe the rule is the DLCs on the bottom of the dlclist file are newest.

I already added it to dlclist.xlm to the bottom. and when I use an add-on car (like police5) it will work. but when I only change a car (police2) it doesn't work
