XBOX 360 CONTROLLER NOT DETECTED L

I cant get controller to detect in the lcpdfr . It works fine in GTA IV . I use it for all my games need for speed titles . My whole steam game lineup. But lcdfr wont let me play lcdfr I have all . I know it sees keyboard but I want it to work off my 360 controller .  What is the magic to get it work . Also is there good on screen menu for selecting things in the mod to do take a call call for a ems fd and show the keys till i get use to it . I think it would be good feature to add where u can have a on screen transparent menu to select pull over search a vehicle and show the keybind and u can disable it too.
