LAPD motor unit ped problem

Featured Replies

So I released already the mod in the character section. But there's a problem with the badge, look at the pic below. There's a shadow of the vanilla star badge behind the lapd one.

I've heard it's a size problem of the lapd badge, since it's too big. But what does size mean: the dimension or the weight of the file?

Look at the third picture in the mod (I don't know why I can't upload images in the post)

It looks like you're trying to map a oval shaped badge texture (LAPD) to a 7-point star style badge (CHP).  The shapes are too different from each other to look correct.  You'll probably have to wait for OpenIV/GIMS to add the correct badge, unless you can change out the ped torso like you could in GTA IV without going through a complete conversion (I haven't been following the GTA V scene close enough to be a useful resource).  If the latter is possible it might still look wrong if the meshes don't align properly (since they're designed for another ped).

while we can't edit shape of badges I can only recomend u to paint all pieces of star around the badge with the same color that the uniform and remove all about the star in normal map, also in specular map u should paint all pieces of star around ur badge with black

I saw the spec maps but I can-t see any difference with mine. By specular you mean the texture that says spec in the ytd right?
