Hello Everyone,

I am in desperate need of assistance as I am a complete amateur and totally new to LSPDFR and modding. I come from the PS4 world and this world is totally new to me. This my first effort at modding GTA 5 and it didn't go as planned.

I followed all the tutorial videos on how to install LSPDFR 0.2beta with Ragehook however I failed because when I went to launch Ragehook a message appeared saying the game was corrupt and it needed re installing because the GTA5.exe file couldn't be found in the folder.

I tried repairing GTA 5 with no success so I have uninstalled it and I will re install shortly.

I have a retail copy of GTA 5 which was purchased 2 days ago and will be updated shortly.

Basically I am after assistance with a step by step guide on how to install LSPDFR 0.2 beta and with which version of Ragehook? Given all the versions I am not sure which version to use.

Can anyone provide assistance??

You should install Ragepluginhook 0.29 as the others are not stable with LSPDFR.

This is because Rockstar doesnt include that file in the retail version anymore. This issue has been fixed by ragehook staff and the latest version should just be working fine.

so is version 0.29 the way to go?

Can you launch GTA5 normally (not double clicking RagePluginHook.exe)? If so, you should be fine... just reinstall RPH 0.29.

Update GTA before installing. As I said, RPH 0.29 is the one you should currently use.

Let us know if you get it sorted!

I didn't try that. So should I launch GTA 5 first normally then launch Ragehook 0.29 while GTA 5 game is running.

Won't that cause a crash because two things are trying to run the game

No, I suggested launching GTA5 without RPH to see if you still get a game is corrupt message. If so, you'd need to fix that by verifying your files or reinstalling the game. If you CAN launch GTA5 normally, exit out, install RPH 29, and try it again with RagePluginHook.

Also does being an administrator account cause any problems with installation. Like when I install programs it always asks me to click yes to allow the program access. 

Should I lower anti virus setting as well

Yeah, sounds like you have UAC on, so always run as admin. Alternatively, you can turn it off, but I only recommend that generally for people who are pretty technical. Unless your AV is specifically causing an issue, it should be okay.

I have the setting on that I am always notified when an app or program tries to install onto the computer or I am changing something in Windows.

my account is an administrator account. My question is:

whats a UAC and should I lower my notification setting to when I install or change something in Windows I'm not told about it.

The problem just gets worse. On the install I now get a error message on disc 5 with file x64.u

i have copied all of disc 5 to my desktop and will try a reinstall directing the install to the folder on my desktop.

I hope it's a bad disc with a scratch issue but I can't see any.

Also after install do I need to update GTA 5 to the latest version ( it's a 63gb update) or can I install LSPDFR and Ragehook using the install version of GTA without the update.

Update everything to the latest version before installing RPH or LSPDFR.
