Just picked up my first lightbar on Sunday.

got it for $25, So some work needs to be done on it to restore it, but parts are easy to find on ebay!

Been wanting a Federal Signal Vector for 20 years after I first saw one. This one is an updated Smart Vector.

Edit Addition: found the seller on craigslist.

Yes, it will go on a shelf either above my computer desk or couch with a proper way of powering it with a converter.

I've always thought it would be cool to have a lightbar on a shelf high up in my room, with a speaker next to it (not to loud though, like a standard PC speaker) and hook them both up to a siren controller on my desk. Flick 'em on when i'm in a pursuit in LSPDFR or something XD

BUT, the problem is they are hard to source online in Australia, and new ones are really expensive.

Got a Federal Signal Arjent SL heading my way

I bit the bullet and tried an old computer power supply in powering my Vector to see if anything would happen, I was able to get the alleys and takedowns to light up! this is good news to me and tells me this thing still works to an extent, need more amps i guess to get the whole thing working.

This arrived today! :3

Now I need a proper power supply to get it running, Til then, that computer power supply sitting next to it will be modified to run parts of the bar, This thing is fricken HEAVY!, nearly as big as a Vector!

Powered it up for the first time this evening with my makeshift power supply, unfortunately, it wouldnt stay lit for more than a few seconds due to the power supply overheating I think.

In the time since my last post in here, I have acquired a Whelen Liberty, a Federal Signal Streethawk, and a Federal Signal Vector SL and Mini Vector SL and more recently, a Federal Signal Vista.

I do not have the Arjent, Streethawk or Vector SL anymore, was able to sell them. The Mini Vector SL I made into red white and blue, that full size Vector SL needed a new power control cable, I had one on hand, installed it and was able to sell it for twice what I paid for it.

The Liberty I bought off of Ebay 5 years ago was all blue with halogen takedowns and alleys, I have since made it red and blue with LED takedowns and alleys as well as Wecan(computer programmable) I am currently waiting on a lens kit which will give it colored lenses. I might then find a Wecan Duo TA board and add in some RA/BA Duo modules to the rear.

My Vista I got this past weekend but I need to replace the strobe controllers.
