Mods similar to ELS for GTA V?

Featured Replies

Hey there folks!

I just wanted to pop my head in to see if there are any mods in the works that would allow the same customizable control over the light bars that are in game? The community's been doing such great work with modeling new light bars and beautiful models, but whether it's led bars that have the 'flash' but don't actually light up, lights that don't have varying flash patterns (i.e., they flash at the same time on both sides of the car), or it's just the vanilla light bar's horrendously slow flash speeds, these shortcomings (which are thanks to Rockstar, of course) seem to be holding back our developers.

What do y'all think?

Cheers!

There is going to be an ELS V sometime in the future. It's being worked on/tested now.

I know exactly what you mean when you say that the "non-ELS" way of doing things has issues (except for the halogen rotators; they look amazing). It's hard for developers to make working emergency lighting equipment currently, which usually leads to lights that seem to light up but have no light texture underneath, lights that still appear on when they are off, or just crappy looking lighting with washed out colors. The default flash patterns are also odd and inconsistent as well as being limited.

This sounds awesome, anyone know where I can read about this, maybe follow on the progress of it.. I hope they are still working on it.
