Changing Handling?

Featured Replies

Hello, i recently downloaded a NYPD CVPI and Impala from Sgt. Kanyo(I think), but the handling and turning on it is awful. Every turn results in a flip over, its so annoying.

I understand i need to change  the handling file which was provided in the "Read Me" document of the file, but how?

Go to GTA IV > common > data, and open handling.dat in Notepad or another text editor. Scroll down to the car slot you would like to change the handling of. Then, simply replace the handling line with the one in Readme document. You can just paste the new one over the old one.

Just to add to what MichealV said, back up your handling file before you change it. also make sure you copy the whole handling line. If you dont you may have some issues driving, at least i did. ( maybe its just me lol)
