Game crashes after adding new police skins.

I installed a new skin for the Sheriff Peds (http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/7673-improved-lssd-deputies/) and followed the directions in the files.

These were the intructions:

"

Launch OpenIV, navigate to x64e.rpf, open models/cdimages/pedprops for s_m_y_sheriff_01_p.ytd and s_f_y_sheriff_01_p.ytd.

Then open componentpeds_s_m_y.rpf and drag and drop s_m_y_sheriff_01.ytd

Lastly, navigate to x64v.rpf/models/cdimages/componentpeds_s_f_y.rpf, and replace s_f_y_sheriff_01.ytd

"

I followed them and dropped each file into the correct spot, but now when I start the game through RAGE (and also through Steam), the game crashes after I select "Story Mode" in the main menu.

Is there something I'm not doing right or a step I missed? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
