tips for rc20 error

Featured Replies

so i know that when u get a rc20 error its because its too big/too many polygons. so what suggestions do u guys have to reducing it/fixing the problem.

one thing i found that works is attaching things the more attached the better example here with a newer version of my 2015 charger where i had to attach everything added besides the lights themselves to the body frame

1. Duplicate materials, although in personal experience its never this

2. If it still crashes, I troubleshoot the problem by removing parts individually and testing in game. From my experience an RC20 can happen because a part is clipping through the model (like roof mounted ALPR's). Once I moved the part so it doesn't clip through, no more crashing. (Note: I don't attach my parts to the bodyshell, nothing wrong with doing it though, to each their own) Other times I find the problem part, but I can't find anything wrong with it...

3. Redo the car/problem part...

4. to demoralized too continue...

so you are saying it has nothing to do with size/polygons
