Asi Loader Help

Featured Replies

My hard drive failed on my pc and I have recently got a new one running. so I had to reinstall my GTA IV. I had the biggest pain in my rear to get this to work on windows 8 again and it seems to have more lag than I remember. So I guess my question is, Would changing asi loaders help? I'm currently using xlive not dsound. Also I guess is there also any tips on running the game with less lag as possible. Forgive me if im not getting what im trying to say out right. These are the things Ive done to make it less of a lag run game.

  • Run it on low settings.
  • Command Line
  • Clip Capture is Off
  • All programs are closed other than GTA IV
  • Charger is plugged in
  • Some services in services.msc are disabled

Thats about it. My main goal here is to find out if the xlive and dsound would help reduce lag by replacing one or the other, but if there are any tips on reducing  lag im open to them too. Thanks.
