Featured Replies

HI everyone! I was really excited to start playing and have a few problems I feel. I Followed your video tutorials by the number and have tried everything but when I run the diagnostic it says Im missing a lot of stuff. I have windows 7, running episodes of liberty city in steam, I installed the mod to steam apps/GTA folder/.

When i run diagnostic is says im missing ASI loader, C++scripthook, net scripthook, LCPF FR not found, setting not found, audio not found. when I look in the folders manual all of these present but the mod wont run when I press alt+p. It just blurs the screen. Sorry If I missed something but any help would be much appreciated. Thanks much,

Great! Got it. Thanks a million. Such great support for what seems to be a great mod. Thanks again

Sounds like you installed it to the wrong folder. Make sure all of the scripthooks and everything are in the GTA IV main folder, while firstresponse.net.dll and the lcpdfr folder with sounds are in the "scripts" folder, which should be inside of your main GTA folder.

Should look something like c:program files (x86)rockstar gamesgta iv

or c:program files (x86)steamsteamappscommongtaiv\

Awesome! got it to work. I had to install into the EFLC Folder which was under the GTA Liberty City file. Only thing now it when I press some of the hot keys for like change lights or put on hat it causes vehicles to spawn? I pressed alt u and a maverick came up and when I press / is blows up all the cars around me.

Go to your main EFLC folder (where you installed simple native trainer) and look for the ini file that matches your game (trainertbogt or trainertlad, for example). Then open it, do a find (ctrl + f) and type in keybindingsdisabled. When you find it, change the 0 to a 1.

Can I add ELS to this? I'm using EFLC.

Well, the quick answer is yes. The long answer is yes, but only if you have a decent system. Many computers fall on their faces when using ELS (as well as high poly car mods). Car mods can cause something called the "taxi bug" where the game runs out of allocated memory and as a result only spawns taxi cabs and police vehicles. Traffic Flow V5 R2 can resolve this issue, though, but it limits the game's vehicle pool to 20 vehicles. A mod called Traffic Control System and be used in conjunction with Traffic Flow, thus removing the taxi bug to a point where it is no longer noticeable.

I see. That does make sense. It looks like it does tax a system. When I look at the files for ELS install is look simple put it has that same scripthook? Do I just overwrite everything If I wanted to try? I have a fairly powerfull comp so might give it a shot.

Just copy in the els.asi and els.ini files, and keep the scripthooks that come with first response. It works fine with the scripthooks that come with first response. You may want to change some keybindings for ELS, since alt + m is CPR (in lcpdfr) as well as the information panel (in ELS).

okay cool, I messed something up good now. hah. Won't get past start up screen now. So sorry about all these questions. Is there a way to start clean using Steam? Now that I what I'm doing I will be able to do this right.

Just go to steam, right click on your game, go to properties, go to local data and then hit verify game cache. This will restore modified or deleted files. Anyadded files, like mods, will remain.
