Error in script CSharp.Engine.Core

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I was hoping to use this as a last resort, but some suggestions about resoliving this particular error that I have researched have come up empty.  Every time I start the game I get an error for CSharp.Engine.Core which is in reference to the AdvancedHook.dll file.  I also tried the ctrl+delete combo but that yielded "error in script 'FirstResponse.main.start'" as well.  I have tried manual reinstalls of the game as well as suggested dll file replacements but have come up empty.  I have tried this both on IV and EFLC with no luck.  I have also tried updating the C++ and .net installs but nothing there has worked either.  I'm currently working on reinstalling IV but based on the errors I see it looks like certain dependencies of the AdvancedHook are missing and the reinstall will yield the same results.  I have attached the AdvancedHook.log and LCPDFR.log files for your convenience.  I am also running an x64 version of Windows 7 that is up to date on updates.

I hope you can help me sort this out.  I understand that you all do this volunteer, so any time you can spare is much appreciated.

Thank you

-----Update-----

Ok.  So I made a little progress.  After completely wiping GTAIV and reinstalling, I performed the manual installation of 1.0c.  I'm not getting the exact same error now, but it still references the AdvancedHook.dll.  There was only the LCPDFR.log file after the installation.  The error is posted below
