LCPDFR Ingame Crash

Featured Replies

Hello LCPDFR Community, i need your help.

Every time i play LCPDFR i have a random ingame Crash, there is no particular reason, sometimes it crashes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 30 minutes.

I tryes the automatic and the manual installation on GTA4 (no steam) and on Episodes of Liberty City (Steam), both arent cracked.

The diagnostic tool says that it should work correctly.

I use no Mods.

On Version 1.0b i had a similar problem, in 1.0b i always crashed to desktop. (GTA 4 has stoped working...)

I tried all of this, but nothing worked for me.

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: .Net Framework 4.5Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012
  • Reinstall GTA 4 and LCPDFR

Thanks for help.

Excuse my english.

Well as far as I can see it tries to access either a file or a part of it, but for some reason it cannot access that. Can you try running the gta launcher as administrator without steam (goto the install folder e.g. "C:program filessteamsteamappscommonGrand theft auto episodes of liberty cityeflc" then rightclick launcheflc.exe and select run as administrator)

That should sort it out if it cannot access the data due to invalid permissions.

I already start Steam and EFLC itself as administrator.

If you start steam as administrator it doesn't mean it will start child proccesses (EFLC) as administrator this is becuase the of the way windows/microsoft works

Anyhow, hope you find your solution.
