Make Traffic Stops More Realistic?

Featured Replies

I was just thinking of some minor things that would improve a traffic stop in LCPDFR - I may have seen one of the following before, but I'm throwing it up here again.

Small things that would improve a traffic stop, if they can even be made, I'm not a scripter so I don't know. Really, no idea. :P

  • Turn the wheels of your patrol car to the left, (have them stay turned of course) so if you get hit, the vehicle doesn't hit the car you stopped + you + the obvious
  • When you get to the suspect window, be able to kinda, lean forward while remaining behind the door - officer safety
  • Touch the trunk of the vehicle to leave fingerprints and make sure it's shut (you could RP it, but a checkpoint thing would be cool)

If anyone has other ideas, feel free to post them.

Leaving wheels permanently turned has been widely discussed and spoken about for years, and there are several issues within the programming that seem to make it very difficult to add a feature like this.

An entirely new animation would have to be created to maintain behind the window while on traffic stops, and quite frankly I don't think it's that big'a deal.

Yeah, role play that last one.

All good ideas,

As a community we appreciate everyone's ideas and pitching in. Keep it up!
