Crashing issue

Hello.

I have recently started playing LCPDFR again, so I downloaded 0.95 RC1 but I have come across an issue where as soon as I turn LCPDFR on, my game can crash any minute while doing anything LCPDFR related, even entering the police station.

Sometimes it simply crashes and goes to desktop, sometimes it gives me the usual ''problem with .exe'' screen.

My GTA IV is legit (not Steam), updated, and no mods are installed besides IVMP and LCPDFR itself. I have uninstalled IVMP and did all the checks in the announcement topic but my problem persists.

I have tried playing with callouts disabled, without logging in to GFWL/Social Club. I also didn't want to link my account first time I installed but I re-ran the installer and linked my account. Have tried stopping and starting scripts with the console before doing ALT+P and nothing. Still crashing.

Hi and welcome to LCPDFR forums!

Thanks for posting your logs and a clear, descriptive post.

From the logs, I can see that you only have 2GB of RAM - it might be that you need more RAM. How is your GTAIV playing? Are you lagging, encountering any other difficulties?

No errors are apparent in the diagnostic log you posted, and as Mage said, you only have 2GB of RAM. Normally, herein lies the problem.

It is entirely probable that the extra RAM required by LCPDFR is pushing your system over the edge and GTA is out of allocated memory. In this case, there is nothing we can do.

Edit: And I'm giving you a +1 for following the directions (maybe more people will start to do it).

I usually play with graphics settings on High and everything else as low as possible or off. Gives me average FPS of about 20-25 and I can play without any lagging or anything that disturbs the gameplay. Perhaps I should try with texture settings on Low as well.

But I also believe it might be a memory issue now, as I have been getting the same crashes while playing normal GTA IV with scripts running but no ALT+P, and in that case it is much more rare and it takes longer to happen.

Yesterday I decided to give it a try. I started game, logged in regularly GFWL/Social Club and played with all settings off when possible or when not possible, the lowest option. Including texture quality.

I started ALT+P, went on duty, some point after that my game briefly alt-tabbed, blackscreened and then it resumed. After closing it down I found out that the generic ''a problem occurred with GTAIV.exe and it had to be closed'' window popped up, however my game kept running - and it ran very smoothly: no lags, no crashing, nothing. I played for like an hour and it functioned normally with no issues at all!

Problem now is I don't know what makes this ''fake crash'' happen...
