When I try to start gta iv, I get this message. "GTA IV FATAL ERROR; DFA  did not initialize properly. Please make sure you are using LaunchGTAIV.exe to launch the

game.

 

I am using that file and I am running as admin. anything you can think of?

mine will not launch either after installing lcpd once I hit play game it crashes any ideas? it was working fine b4 install

I found a potential fix. you need to have  DAF.dll in the main directory. Let me know if you can not find it

 

if by main directory u are referring to C:Program Files (x86)Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IV then I don't have that file where can I get it?

You have to go C:/Program Files (x86)/2K Games/ Grand Theift Auto IV
