How To Create A Weapon Icon?

Featured Replies

So today I was recently looking at a tutorial showing how to create a weapon icon that looks like one of the original icons. I came across this article. My question is how do I do step 3 or "Next, fill the whole gun with one consistent shade of gray. I suggest using the exact gradient in the

example below; the same used in all GTA IV icons I make."

Which part is confusing? The gradient part? That's only to make it similar to the stock guns. Try eyedropping the color used and put that colour on your weapon.

I use photoshop and whenever I make the icon gray it fills in the lines that should stay ect..?
