Framerate dropping radically while recording

So, this has been happening a lot lately - my framerate while not recording is the usual 60 fps, but for some reason while recording, it drops to minimum 25 fps. I haven't set a limit, and I use Bandicam. Do you know of any other recording software? It can't possibly drop 45 frames, can it?

    to be honest at times when I'm recording it tells me i have 3800+ FPS and that's with Fraps so no idea but theres always the chance its off :)
