I am running on an ASUS K53TA series laptop and after 1 minute of use, my normal keys fail to respond and the following happens:  "p" logs off the computer, "g" opens my computer, the rest are not responding and I am hearing a windows error tone. I am running windows 7 as an operating system.  (Typed from my desktop)


If i'm screwed, would this be a viable replacement? I can get it for free so just asking.
