Stuck on Launching Game

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,

Yesterdaay, I installed a clean copy of GTA 5 and then installed the LCPDFR MOD, which then worked fine.

The next step was installing OPEN.rpf and NVE.

Since then i stuck on launching Game...

RPH and Game folder is as Exception in my anti virus.

I set all Permissions for game directory.

But nothing works so far... what is the issue?

Im on Version 1158.16 enhanced version.

Ty for help in advance

Hey Hylem, welcome to GTA V Enhanced modding. Since you are on the latest Enhanced version 1158.16, your startup freeze is directly caused by the OpenIV ASI loaders and NaturalVision Enhanced hooks. The new Enhanced edition treats executable encryption differently, and using traditional ASI loaders with NVE will instantly freeze or crash the game on launch right now.

To get your game running immediately, try these steps:

  • First, temporarily remove dinput8.dll and OpenRPF.asi from your main Grand Theft Auto V folder. Try launching the game via RagePluginHook again. If the game boots up into LSPDFR fine, you know the issue is strictly with the OpenIV/NVE compatibility hooks.

  • Second, make absolutely sure you have disabled the BattlEye anti-cheat in your Steam or Rockstar launcher settings. BattlEye was recently added to GTA V and it will completely block OpenIV, RPH, and any script loaders, causing the exact infinite launching freeze you are experiencing.

  • Third, ensure you are using the latest LSPDFR Enhanced Preview update that dropped on September 17. The older RPH and LSPDFR versions are completely incompatible with build 1158.16.

Let us know if the game launches successfully after disabling BattlEye and removing the dinput8.dll file so we can help you get NVE running safely on this specific game build.
