Reverting modded vehicles back to the original liveries

Hello all,

 

 I've learned the hard way why we backup our game files; I broke the liveries/spawning locations of the LSPD vehicles in my game. I've went through multiple "fixes" and nothing works, so I've decided that deleting the mods folder will be the best course of action. Besides, I don't have a ton of plugins installed anyway. I just want to ask a few things.

 

1> Has anyone else made a mistake like this and has deleting the mods folder in OpenIV worked?

 

2> Are there any long term repercussions of deleting the mods folder? (all modding was done in that folder. Not the GTA V one)

 

3> Do I just boot up OpenIV and right click on mods folder and select delete?

 

 Pretty new to modding so thanks for your time. I use Steam and have a copy of GTA V downloaded directly from there.
