February 11, 201313 yr Hi, I recently bought GTA IV for the PC, I played it and noticed the game was lagging quite a bit, so I'm looking to upgrade my computer. I'm a novice when it comes to computer specification etc , I normally run my PC through my 40 inch tv which when I've been reading the performance of your PC can also depend on the screen resolution? I do have a 24 inch monitor running 1280x1024. Below is the spec of my computer, I'd be grateful of suggestions as to what I would need to upgrade in order for GTA IV to run smoothly on my computer. Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit CPU Intel Pentium E5400 @ 2.70GHz 30 °C Wolfdale 45nm Technology RAM 4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 332MHz (5-5-5-15) Motherboard ASRock G31M-GS. (CPUSocket) 27 °C Graphics DELL E190S (1280x1024@60Hz) 512MB GeForce 8400GS (Gigabyte) 55 °C Hard Drives 233GB Western Digital WDC WD2500AAKX-001CA0 ATA Device (SATA) 26 °C Optical Drives HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDRH20N ATA Device Audio Realtek High Definition Audio I'm from the UK and have a budget of 200-300 thanks a lot
February 11, 201313 yr I don't think a 200-300 budget is enough to run IV without texture loss, some car mods are very high poly and that will only make it worse... use that for help. It is expensive but its worth it.
