ELS Not Working

Featured Replies

I previously deleted lspdfr and have just downloaded it today. I downloaded all plug-ins and everything and ELS. However I can’t use ELS as when I press J nothing happens and when I press E it only puts the siren. I have installed ELS cars and have put all the .xml files into the pack_default folder. I have tried everything that I have seen on reddit and these lcpdfr forums but nothing is working. I have been trying for 6 hours straight and it’s getting really frustrating so does anyone have any solutions. I have the latest scripthookv, have installed asi loader, and everything that is needed for ELS to work but for some reason it still isn’t working.

I could only see my els.ini and my els.asi. Is there a reason for this?

Yes, because ELS failed to load. The els.log will only be generated if the els.asi was able to run properly at least once.

Make sure the ScriptHookV.dll and AdvancedHookV.dll files are in your main GTA V folder.

AdvancedHookV.dll is included in the ELS download.

Weird, since there's not even a ScriptHookV.log, it seems like ScriptHookV was not able to start properly.

Try the following:

  1. Delete ScriptHookV.dll and dinput8.dll from your main GTA folder.
  2. Restart your computer (don't select "shutdown", use "restart")
  3. Then reinstall ScriptHookV.dll and dinput8.dll using the latest download from http://www.dev-c.com/files/ScriptHookV_1.0.2944.0.zip

I have checked and there is no scripthookv.log.

I do not get any error messages popping up when launching GTA.

I will send the asiloader.log when I wake up.

I'm pretty sure your current issue is not related to your ELS car packs. It's basically failing at an earlier point before your ELS XML files for your cars are even loaded.

Let's try the following:

  1. Add your entire GTA V folder to the exceptions (aka. exclusions) of your antivirus app.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Reinstall ScriptHookV and ELS (all of the files and folders in the download) once again.
  4. (optional) Run RagePluginHook to see if there is a popup window about "Windows is blocking files, do you want RPH to unblock them?" (click Yes)
  5. Try if ELS works now.

Well, that's a bummer. But you're aware that ELS has technically nothing to do with LSPDFR and you could still play LSPDFR, right?

Additionally, I could be too dumb to figure out the actual reason for your issues. You could wait for somebody else (who is more knowledgeable) to take a look at this thread, too.
