Part of the car is missing

Featured Replies

Hello, a part of my car disappears (headlight glass, rims, light bar) if I move a few meters away from it. What could be the reason?

Two ways I would recommend doing this, both ways work the same though I believe they are different values.

  1. Manually change your LOD Draw Distance.
    1. If you do not know the police slot, find that out first as it will be useful and make this process significantly easier.
    2. Go to mods/update/update.rpf/common/data and locate vehicles.meta.
    3. Make sure edit mode is on, right click and edit the file.
    4. Search for the vehicle slot name, and find its associated lodDistances by scrolling down.
    5. Change these values to 500 and save.
  2. Install a premade version.
    1. Download and install Higher and Lower Increased LOD Draw Distance Mod. The pathways will work the same, just drag and drop with edit mode active. Though this has separate files depending on whether or not you want a higher or lower draw distance, which is mainly for PC performance.
