To preface this, I am aware of the false  wacatac positive situation with RPH right now.

 

Two days ago, I could play LSPDFR without any problems, until my antivirus alerted me about a supposed detected wacatac trojan, back then i thought this was genuine because i'm an idiot and don't read large sized text in alerting red boxes. i tried to remove the supposed wacatac threat via windows defender which didn't work so i downloaded avira to remove it and after i ran a full sweep of my system and had the supposed threat removed i thought everything is alright. but exactly since then I cannot play with RPH anymore.

when I run the ragepluginhook.exe, either directly or via shortcut doesn't matter, it loads until "Launching game via Steam". After a few seconds the normal rockstar windows pop up telling me it's connecting and stuff, after that the game window opens as usual and functions normally, however the RPH window will still say "Launching game via Steam", however it is not frozen, as i can interact with the settings and X buttons.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

Things I have tried to resolve the issue:
reinstall GTA

reinstall RPH

completely wipe my GTA directory and reinstall it

deactive AV-software

whitelist the GTA-main directory in the AV software

whitelist the ragepluginhook.exe

boot GTA normally and boot RPH when I am in the GTA main menu

give GTA.exe and ragepluginhook.exe all permissions in the properties > security tab

and many many many more.

 

I resolved the issue, for anyone facing the same issue, what I did was update my BIOS and update my OS.
