Hi guys,

 

does anyone know of a mod that replaces all the Palm trees for standard trees? It's to fit with my British LSPDFR game.

 

If there isn't a mod replace for the palms. I have found vegetation folder x64i were you can find the palm tree folders. There is a folder named trees and in that folder are  some tree files that could work to replace the palm trees. I was going to use the Maple tree and then replace the palm tree.ydr files for the Maple. The problem is the palms have ytd files and the maple tree has no ytd file to use. 

 

any suggestions?

Im currently working on one, no ymap replacements, just replacing the palm tree models with pines, oaks and cedars

i can release it as soon as i get it all together 🙂

Sadly you cant replace the joshua trees and cactis on sandy shores, as they are .yft models and trees are .ytd so it will cause bugs and crashes but you wont see them in city or paleto at all.🙂

so im getting it all together, textures work fine and models work normally, there's no lod's cuz i dunno how to make them

anyways heres screenshots.

the file's ready and published, waiting to be approved by staff. will post like when ready.

Just out of curiosity and not be cheeky you couldn’t see if you could make a winter type tree pack. Where the trees are without their leaves? A bit barren. I remember many years ago Double Doppler made a British winter theme mod for LCPDFR that replaced the trees with winter trees that just showed their branches

Yeah, i am thinking about it, replacing sa trees with the yankton snow trees. I will start making it when i got some time. Good suggestion! 🙂
 

but how would i replace them

a) yankton style, all trees including pines, cedars etc

b) more realstic, only replacing the leaf trees, not pines or cedars

I start working on the winter version now, maybe i get it ready today but surely tomorrow

all the cactuses and joshua trees were successfully replaced, will be released within the new update coming soon, the update will also include fall and winter versions of the mod.

Also all texture flickering and other bugs will be fixed as soon as i found out the reason

short notes about the 2.0 update

it will include the final version of the summer edition, with the rest of the vegetation replaced, a 1.0 version of the snow edition and (possibly) the autumn edition (might come as an later update)

the snow edition is cancelled, as it causes bugs and incompabilities, but pines and cedars dont drop their "leaves" as they are not leaf trees, but a snow mod will also add snow on their leaves.
