Help with BootCamp on an iMac - LSPDFR and other game performance

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. I have an iMac that I use BootCamp on in order to play various PC games and LSPDFR.

Specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz

64 GB Ram

AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT

From my understanding the graphics card is really good, and is a high performance GPU. However, I only get about 30-45 FPS on LSPDFR with fairly low graphics settings. Overtime I have also noticed that I have had trouble running other games like Flashing Lights, Construction Sim (new 2022 game), BeamNG Drive, and RDR2 at a consistent playable framerate (60 FPS). I have had the computer for about 2 years now, and over time I have noticed that the performance on these games has gone down over time. When I first got the computer I was able to play LSPDFR at around 60-75 FPS, and RDR2 at like 60-70. Now, its much less. I am not sure if its due to graphic card updates, BootCamp updates, or Windows 10 (or a combo of those), but any help or advice (setting to change or anything like that) would be appreciated. Its pretty frustrating because the graphics card is a beast according to other people who have it. Thank you!

If anyone has a suggestion for another site or forum that is specifically for help like this, I would appreciate it as well.
