Cannot Get GTA 5 to Launch!

Featured Replies

GTA will not launch - rockstar launcher loops; tries to load then says “quitting” “exiting” then you’re back at the beginning and have option to hit load again. Rage will try to start but closes when launcher doesn’t work. Have reinstalled everything possible including entire game, tried vanilla game,  lspdfr, deleted mods folder, adjusted admin/permissions. As far as I know, I’ve tried everything. Windows and all drivers are updated as well. Currently I have GTA 5 regular game and cannot get out of the loop and even play normally. I am at a loss.

TODO:<file description>             this pops up on task manager when I hit play and the game attempts to load, this goes away then the loop starts over. Any thoughts?

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Yes - When I initially uninstalled the game they system said it did but it didn’t come back with a clean install. Many things were still in my GTA main game folder that shouldn’t have been but I didn’t notice at first. Ultimately I reinstalled again and manually removed my game. After that I was good to go with a few permissions fixes.
