After running RAGE in both safe mode and normal I am greeted with a Grand Theft Auto black screen that instantly crashes the game with a useless crash report from what I can see.

I have ran on modded installs and completely new and clean installs of the game with literally just the default RAGE settings and the game still crashes.

 

I have also ran the game normally with no mods and it runs completely fine so I'm a bit stuck on what to do here as it ran completely fine yesterday.

 

A brand new update is that RAGE is completely stuck on "Validating system" and will not close even with task manager so something is definitely wrong.

 

Any help is much appreciated

THIS ISSUE IS SOLVED, NEW TO LSPDFR PLEASE TELL ME IF THERE'S A WAY TO CLOSE / BETTER WAY TO DISCLOSE THIS POST.

 

Fix was to delete another install of LSPDFR i had in a mods folder so I could see which files were default in LSPDFR. Not sure why but this second install completely broke the other despite it being in a completely different path tree but it did.
