Tahoe/Explorer replacement and SAHP vehicle

Featured Replies

Hi all. I am looking for a replacement for the LSSD Granger (Suburban). Ideally I would find a non-slicktop Tahoe or even an Explorer with Sheriff liveries. I know there are tons of both of these vehicles available on this site, but, I do not have, and apparently cannot get, Open IV. I also do not want to use ELS if that matters. So far, the ONLY vehicle I have gotten to work on LSPDFR is Cj24's BCSO Crown Vic. I will readily admit that I am not super tech savvy so this is why I am reaching out.

Edit: Also, is it possible to somehow add in some SAHP vehicles aside form the one motorcycle, again, using LML only?

P.S. sorry for all the noob questions, but I cannot find the answers myself.

Sorry, I'm not able to answer your install questions, but this is how to get OpenIV downloaded as of August 2022.

There are two methods.

Method 1:

Note: You HAVE to use INTERNET EXPLORER (Not Microsoft Edge, NOT Chrome, NOT Firefox, etc. You must use Internet Explorer)

1. Go to https://openiv.com/ in Internet Explorer.

2. Click the "Download now OpenIV 4.1" link. You'll get the error page because of broken SSL settings on their website.

3. Go to the URL and remove the S from the HTTPS://   ---- Again, in Internet Explorer, go to the URL after clicking download link and remove the S in HTTPS:// while on the download error page, then Hit Enter.

4. The file will pop-up to download.

~Enjoy Modding your game.

Method 2:

Since OpenIV has broken SSL/website settings you can still get the file from using the Wayback Machine website in their cache files.

1. Go to the Wayback Machine website: https://web.archive.org

2. Enter the URL you are looking for: https://ntscorp.ru/ovi/setup/ovisetup.exe from the download link on https://openiv.com/

3. A July calendar pops up showing the most recent dates the website was cached. The most recent cache as of this post is July 25.

4. Hover over July 25 and then click the timestamp that pops up just below it, the link that populates is: 13:28:55  (<---you can actually click this link and the download will prompt from the Wayback Machine website, if you want to save time)

4. Download -> Install -> Enjoy modding your game(s).

I used the Wayback Machine method recently and it worked perfectly. Good luck!
