Playing GTA causes web browsers to stutter

Featured Replies

I'm not sure what happened here, but about a week ago I got a Windows update. I turned on my PC the next day and tried playing GTA while listening to music on YouTube via Google Chrome. For some reason, whenever the game is un-paused, it will suddenly cause YouTube to abruptly stop playing the video. I alt tabbed out and the music began playing again without any issue. Then I want back in the game and un-paused it, it cause the music to stop again. So whenever the game is paused, YouTube works just fine. I'm not sure what's causing the issue, but I've restarted my PC since and the issue persists. I haven't received an update for GTA via Steam OR the RockStar launcher and I haven't edited any game files since.

This isn't causing the game to freeze or stutter, but it is a nuisance for someone who likes listening to music outside of what's included in the base game.

Literally a Windows update happened and the issue started. I've checked several other games and GTA is the only one having the issue. I can't even begin to figure what's going on, but if anyone can give me a point in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
