Rage : Could not hook game process

Featured Replies

I start launching the game, then launch Rage. After attempting to hook game for a little bit I get this error:

Could not hook game process. Insufficient permissions or bad anti-virus.

Please try again. If the problem persists, please restart your computer.

I've reinstalled LSPDFR and that didn't resolve it. Any ideas?

Outside of LSPDFR, I only have a few small mods like the colored UI wheel and the HD map. I also have NVE installed.

  • I have turned real time scanning off.
  • I've added my game folder to the exceptions in my Windows AV.
  • I've reinstalled LSPFDR.
  • I've modified the security of my game folder to allow all.
  • I've verified my game files through Steam.
  • I've wiped my installation entirely.
  • I've used the BAT file that comes with NVE that runs them in order.
  • I've manually opened the game, then launch the RageHook.
  • I've turned off GeForce in-game overlay.

I installed the game fresh. I ran the game to make sure it works.

I installed Open IV, ScriptHook, ScriptHookDotNet. I rand the game to make sure it works.

I installed LSPDFR. I launched RageHook. I launched the game from RageHook. I get the same error.
