Heya!

 

I'm trying to make an rappeling animation; The problem:

 

1. If I play an animation mid air without freezing the ped, he would instantly fall and play the falling/ragdoll animation.

 

2. If I do freeze the player, there is no way for the ped to actually move during those animation, without manually editing the height, which woulf look stuttery.

 

So my question: How do you play animations smoothly with movement while being in midair?

You'll have to manually move the ped while making the animation, an example is moving the peds position while making the actual animation, if you understand this, It's what rockstar did anyway.

also, why don't you just use default GTA 5 rappeling anim?
