Hi there,

New player trying to start playing.  Had lots of issues to solve, but all of them solved till now.  I have a "Access denied to stats.dat" error when loading the LSPDFR plugin.  It crashes the .dll file, but there is no file named that in the folder.

Crash report attached. Can anyone send me the file?

Reinstall the "lspdfr" folder from the LSPDFR manual install.

Backup your keys.ini / lspdfr.ini if you wish, but that should fix it. 🙂

I've seen some AV software uses permission stuff to intercept file interactions instead of locking that file.
Try to exclude the folder, and make sure you do not edit things with administrator permissions, and keep your UAC on.

Supporting is somewhat like locating an issue, then trying to apply a protocol that would eventually guide the subject to fix their game, and sometimes, on rare occasions, trying to diagnose a weird issue with everything you know.

This might be useful: UnauthorizedAccessException Class (System) | Microsoft Docs

Make sure your user has access to that file. If not, you'll need to grant your user account access to that file.

This can be done as an administrator. Right click lspdfr -> stats.dat, select Properties and post a screenshot of the Security tab.

Also post the same page of your GTA V folder.

Thanks for this, but I do not have that file in my directory, which is why it can not have access to that file.

Open the properties page of LSPDFR folder. Click "Security" and post a screenshot of that.

If it was a file not found, .NET won't throw Unauthorized Access exception.

Hey,

Yeah I got to the bottom of it last night, you are correct in your thinking! The LSPDFR folder didnt have certain authorisations, it works perfectly now, thank you for your help!
