My ragehook states the game version is now supported (since LSPDFR released compatibility with the new GTA5 update) however, upon launching ragehook does not launch with GTA5, no splash screen or police stations upon loading in. Ragehook will state "launching from steam" and the game will launch, but ragehook in the background will remain stuck on "This is taking longer than usual" any advice is appreciated. 

I've also noticed that the date for the ragehook plugin is 12/16, despite the announcment on LSDPFR page being 12/17. However, the .ini file for ragehook is 12/17, matching the announcement date. 

About the date that is probably that RPH authors have not slept and worked overtime to get the RPH updated, worked until the early morning of the next day.

Try disable your antivirus or add the whole GTA V folder as an exception (or add it as a folder entry in your antivirus's trust zone), if this does not work do not delete the exception and launch RPH executable as Administrator.

Previously in an attempt to fix it I added the entire GTA5 folder as an exception was I was opening up RPH in privileged mode through the interface rather than as administrator as I was under the impression as that was raising it to the same privilege level, but I guess I was wrong because when I attempted that it wouldn't work. 

UAC will prompt you whether to grant them elevated privilege if they have elevated privilege.

By launching app as administrator, UAC will always ask you at startup.
