Fixed RAGE Plugin Hook Slow system or insufficient permissions

Featured Replies

It is possible to fix it. I've found threads about this issue from 3 years ago, but I found the fix. All you have to do is take ownership of your GTA V folder, which sounds complicated but isn't. First thing you need to do is find your GTA V folder which if you have it on Steam, go to your game library, select GTA V, press the little gear on the right, then go to manage and select "Browse Local Files" , if not if you have a shortcut anywhere right click on it and press "Open File Location" . So, when you found your GTA folder, right click on it, go all the way down on "properties" and hit that. Then go to the Security tab of properties, and you should see "To change permissions, click Edit" and a Edit button next to it. When you click the edit button, find your desktop name, which should be called "-desktop name-\Users" . Press on that and you'll see a little list which should have "Permissions For Users" , and if it has that press on the checkbox which shows "Full Control" . After that, hit apply, and close the properties. Then you should be able to run it no problem, but if you have the problem after that, follow the same steps but select full control to all users.
