My game continues to crash on the screen where it initializes the game/loads the story mode.  It seems to be a problem with the dinput8.dll file associated in the scripthookvdotnet folders.

 

I watched a video that was posted recently saying to add the dotnet files minus the dinput8.dll, then us OIV to install the ASI loader. This will put an update dinput8.dll in the game directory.  While it did exactly that, the game made it further in the load than before, but still crashes.

 

Can anyone help?

Sorry, I meant the dinput8.dll that comes in the regular script hook v zip 

Please disregard.  It has been fixed.  There was a bad vehicle mod in the folder.  I'm not sure which, but I think it was the recently updated Highway Patrol cars

Hey, buddy, you can try to reset the .xml you replaced in ELS to the default. Go back to the game, and that's how I solved it.
